About the event
Join us for Jaeeun Lee's Untitled (Saturn Eating His Son), in which a young girl peels fresh fruit that cascades from a cornucopia-like armature attached to the head of her co-performer, a man whose limbs are fitfully, jerkily animated throughout the event. This performance extends the artist’s formal amalgamation of sound, movement and imagery, as she carefully employs seemingly symbolic or metaphoric elements but obscures their relationship to meaning. This creates a scenario of lost disjointed clues, unpredictability, anxiety, secrecy, and unexpected encounters.
