Jaeeun Lee was born and raised in Seoul, Korea. Among others, Lee has participated in exhibitions at Interstate Projects, Brooklyn, NY; El Museo Del Barrio, New York, NY; Socrates Scuplture Park, Long Island City, NY; Momenta Art, Brooklyn, NY; Present Company, Brooklyn, NY; Lesley Heller Workspace, New York, NY; and the Crane Arts Center, Philadelphia, PA.
Lee received an MFA in combined media from Hunter College, NY in 2011 and a BFA in sculpture from Ewha Woman’s University, Seoul, Korea in 2006. She was a resident artist at Strange Teaching, Leipzig, Germany in 2014 and at the Skowhegan School of Painting and Sculpture, ME, in 2011. Her work has been featured in Hyperallergic, NY Arts Magazine, Artnet, and Bomb Magazine.
