Currently she is the program coordinator at The Laundromat Project and in the past worked as an organizer with Latino and working class communities via Make The Road NY and New Immigrant Community Empowerment. In addition, she has worked as an arts educator at The Noguchi Museum. Yvette holds a BA from Hunter College in Romance Languages and Political Science. As a daughter of Bolivian immigrants, she is interested in exploring identity-based politics, the meaning of “home,” diaspora and memory through her work.
