About the event
Join Harmony Holiday and Fred Moten for a reading from their work and new books A Jazz Funeral for Uncle Tom and All That Beauty in a conversation style, improvising back and forth between the works. This event celebrates the release of their books, the music and cultural context that inspires both writers, and the legacy of collective improvisation and call and response that both works celebrate and deploy. The reading will be followed by a discussion and a brief Q & A with the audience. The authors' new books will be available at the event.
