About the event
Join us for a showing of this digitally remastered classic 1979 film about a Cuban superintendent in Harlem. The film is a unique window into the lives of working class Cuban immigrants during the post-revolutionary era. Followed by a Q & A with the screenwriter Manuel Arce.
This event is presented as part of Narrating Change, Changing Narratives, an interdisciplinary research group that employs public humanities practices and explores narration as a guide for social change.
