About the event

How do you notice the passage of time? How do you keep it?

Booker Prize Winner, Samantha Harvey’s space pastoral Orbital (2024) is about careful observation—noticing details big and small—as it follows the thoughts, tasks, and porthole views of six astronauts and cosmonauts aboard the International Space Station over the course of one day.

Join for an evening in the gallery as we read excerpts out loud together and look closely at the objects on view in a relaxed atmosphere at our own pace, making notations of our observations to consider how we each experience the passage of time over the course of a day, a month, a year, a lifetime.
