William Noel has been appointed as the University of Pennsylvania Libraries’ director of the Special Collections Center and founding director of the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies. He served with distinction as Curator of Rare Manuscripts and Books at The Walters Art Museum in Baltimore. He lead the greatly admired Archimedes Palimpsest project.
