Theo Rodas attends Bard High School Manhattan. The number one problem Theo sees at school is self segregation. The lack of interaction between white students, who are often coming from bubbles of privilege, and students of color who are already conscious of and subjected to discrimination leads to a general inaction. Theo spends a lot of time debating and volunteering with the Urban Debate League, because youth voice is one of the most powerful forces in social justice. When youth are empowered to speak up with confidence, all of us are more educated, informed and active for the rights of ourselves and others.
