Teófilo Reis is a Ph.D. Candidate in Philosophy at CUNY Graduate Center and a Ph.D. Candidate in Sociology at University of Campinas, Brazil. He is one of those many students who, at some point, emailed Charles Mills to let him know that The Racial Contract had changed their lives. He was fortunate to work with Charles Mills for nearly three years since the beginning of his philosophy Ph.D. in 2018. His current research focuses on the notion of racial democracy in Brazil.
