Suzanne Mahadeo graduated from CUNY Hunter (BA: Media Studies) and St. Edward's University (MLA: Writing/Graphic Design) in Austin, TX. She then self-funded her travels to 22 countries for seven years by organic farming, documentary filmmaking, writing/editing, teaching (pre-K to college), and community development. She has 15 years of content management experience in finance, asset management, accounting, law, business, health, entertainment, education, real estate, philanthropy, social justice, and travel/tourism. As Chief Editor & Art Director of the Indian Diaspora Council, she minted the first international Indian Diaspora Journal and moderated the 100th Anniversary of the Abolition of Indian Indentureship at the Indian Consulate in March 2017. She is the former Executive Director of the Indo-Caribbean Alliance (ICA), a 501(c)(3) community organization serving Queens, NY. Suzanne lives in South Queens with her two young daughters and her Guyanese parents, and is proud to be part of a multi-generational household.
