Shoumik Bhattacharya is a PhD student in the English Department at the CUNY Graduate Center and teaches at Baruch College, CUNY. His work is at the intersection of political economy and culture studies, with a particular focus on the production and notions of the Global South. His teaching and research interests also include postcolonial theory, gender and queer theory, and ecocriticism.
