Sergio Schargel is a PhD candidate in Literature at São Paulo University (USP), PhD candidate in Media at Rio de Janeiro State University (UERJ) and master candidate in Political Science at Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UNIRIO). He holds a master degree in Literature from PUC-Rio, as well as bachelors in Social Communication, Journalism and Social Communication, Advertising and Marketing, both from PUC-Rio. His research and artistic production are focused on the relationship between literature and politics, covering themes such as political theory, political literature, post-memory, anti-Semitism and the work of Sylvia Serafim Thibau.
