Scott Zukowski is a fifth-year Ph.D. candidate in Stony Brook University’s English Department. His dissertation analyzes shifting notions of (Anglo-) American liberty and community from 1730 to 1850 through the lens of mid-Atlantic periodical and print-media literature. His work relies heavily on interdisciplinary research and public engagement. Scott also serves as Second Vice President of the Nassau Community College Alumni Association and as president of Stony Brook University’s Graduate English Society.
