Sally Silvers has been choreographing experimental dances (more than 80 works for herself & Sally Silvers & Dancers) & 3 musicals (at Sundance Theater Festival), performing (in her own works & improvising with other choreographers & musicians), filmmaking (2 dance films with Henry Hills), writing (poetry, theory, dance articles), teaching (improvisation, composition, repertory), dancing for Yvonne Rainer (2006-2011), collaborating with writer Bruce Andrews (dance & theater projects including their infamous group, BARKING), John Zorn & many other musicians, & earning grants and awards including a “Bessie” (NY Dance and Performance Award), a Guggenheim Fellowship, 2 NYFA’s, 6 NEA’s + others -- over the last 30 years.
