Rojo Robles is a Puerto Rican writer, playwright, and filmmaker. As an interdisciplinary artist, he strives to explore the porous relationships between fictional worlds, dreamscapes, cinematic imagination, political action, and daily life. Since 2004 he has been director of El kibutz del deseo, an independent platform dedicated to producing plays, films, and publishing fiction. Robles graduated from the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras, with a BA in Theater and a Master in Comparative Literature. He is currently a PhD candidate at the Latin American, Iberian and Latino Cultures Department at the Graduate Center, CUNY. He teaches Caribbean and Latino Literature at Brooklyn College, CUNY.
