Patricia Paperman is Professor of Sociology and Gender Studies in the department of Political Sciences at Paris VIII University. Together with Sandra Laugier and Pascale Molinier, since 2005, she has published several books in order to make Care Ethics known in France and to promote research programs in this perspective: Qu’est-ce que le care?, Payot, 2009; With Sandra Laugier (dir.) Le Souci Des Autres. Ethique et Politique du Care, Collection Raisons Pratiques, Editions de l’EHESS, 2005 and Nouvelle Edition Augmentée, 2011. Her current research work focuses on situations of disability and feelings. Other publications are dealing with epistemological issues the feminist ethics of care address to social sciences, as in Care et sentiments, PUF, collection Care Studies 2013.
