Norman Kaplan is an artist and studied at the California Institute of Arts, where he collaborated with Alison Knowles on Poem Drop Event in 1971. His contribution consisted of commissioning a helicopter to drop reams of Knowles’ House of Dust poem over area campuses and museums.
