Nicola Perugini is Mellon Postdoctoral Fellow at Brown University. He has been a member of the Institute for Advanced Study (Princeton) and Director of the Human Rights Program at the Al Quds Bard College (Jerusalem). He is the co-author of The Human Right to Dominate (Oxford University Press, 2015) and the author of articles published in different academic journals and edited volumes. His op-eds have appeared in Al Jazeera English, London Review of Books, Middle East Eye, Open Democracy, Counterpunch. He is currently working on a book project about the history and politics of human shielding.
