Nick Mirzoeff is a militant researcher, an activist with Strike Debt and an artist. His recent publications include The Right to Look: A Counterhistory of Visuality (2011), and Watching Babylon: the War in Iraq and Global Visual Culture (2005). He is Professor of Media, Culture and Communication at New York University.
