Netta Yerushalmy is an award winning dance artist based in NYC since 2000. For her extensive body of work she has been awarded a Guggenheim Fellowship, a Jerome Robbins Bogliasco Fellowship, a Six Points Fellowship, and a fellowship from the New York Foundation for the Arts.
Her current project, Paramodernities, received a 2018 National Dance Project award from the New England Foundation for the Arts.
Yerushalmy's works have been commissioned and presented by venues such as the Joyce Theater, the American Dance Festival, Danspace Project, New York Live Arts, Centre National de la Danse (Paris), Suzanne Dellal Center for Dance (Tel-Aviv), Hebbel am Ufer theater (Berlin).
Netta works across genres and disciplines: she contributed to artist Josiah McElheny’s project for the Madison Square Park Conservancy, she choreographed a Red Hot Chili Peppers music video, and has collaborated on evenings of theory and performance at the Institute for Cultural Inquiry (Berlin).
She has received repeated support from the Baryshnikov Arts Center, Lower Manhattan Cultural Council, Jacob’s Pillow Dance Festival, Harkness Foundation for Dance, and Robert Wilson’s Watermill Center.
Netta has set her work on repertory companies around the USA, and has had engagements at the Juilliard School, Alvin Ailey, NYU Tisch, University of Utah, Rutgers University, University of the Arts, University of Texas, James Madison University, SUNY Brockport, and Long Island University.
As a professional dancer, Netta performed with Doug Varone and Dancers, the Metropolitan Opera Ballet, Pam Tanowitz, among many others.
