Natalie Hope O’Donnell is a curator and PhD researcher at the Oslo Centre for Critical Architectural Studies (OCCAS). Her project is entitled ‘Space as Curatorial Practice’ and focuses on exhibitions from the early 1970s. Hope O’Donnell was awarded a BA in Modern History and Politics at Jesus College, Oxford and holds a BA degree in History of Art and Political Science from the University of Oslo, which was completed in-between doing a post-graduate degree in law in London and working as a lawyer. She graduated from the Royal College of Art in London with an MA in Curating Contemporary Art (2008) and was awarded an MRes in Cultural Studies from the London Consortium (2011). Hope O’Donnell was co-curator of the Pushwagner retrospective for MK Gallery, which included a ‘Norwegian Season’ of events, exhibitions and video-programmes at MK Gallery, and ended its tour at Museum Boijmans van Beuningen (2013). Recently, she curated an exhibition of Norwegian film and video art at Atopia in Oslo, worked as a curator for the Oslo Academy of Fine Art, was a Visiting Scholar at Columbia University, and a Visiting Critic at ISCP in New York.
