Minh-Ha T. Pham

Minh-Ha T. Pham (@minh81) is an Associate Professor in the Graduate Program in Media Studies at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Her research focuses on fashion labor in the digital age specifically and the digital architectures of racial capitalism more broadly. Her writings on the subject appear in a wide range of scholarly and mainstream publications—most recently
in QED, Social Text, American Quarterly, Jacobin, and The New Inquiry. She is also the author of Asians Wear Clothes on the Internet: Race, Gender, and the Work of Personal Style Blogging (Duke University Press 2015). Her current book project examines the social media shaming around fashion "knockoffs" as a form of consumer labor that rests on and conceals
racial ideologies about property and impropriety that shape definitions of value and market conditions.
