Mindy Thompson Fullilove, MD, is a social psychiatrist and professor of urban policy and health at The New School. In the aftermath of 9/11 she and colleagues at the Cities Research Group created NYC RECOVERS, a collaboration of organizations concerned with the social and emotional recovery of the Greater New York Region. She is author of eight books, including the highly-regarded urban restoration trilogy, Root Shock, Urban Alchemy, and Main Street.
