Melissa Liu is a first-generation Chinese American artist, educator, and cultural worker with a multidisciplinary practice led by oral history and storytelling. She has collaborated on workshops with workshops for the College Art Association (through Arts & Labor’s Alternative Economies Working Group), Kelly Street Community Garden Bronx, Arts/Admin, and CAAAV Organizing Asian Communities. Melissa was a 2018 ArtBuilt Studio in the Park artist-in-residence through artist collective Art Parley, 2017 storefront artist-in-residence at Wing On Wo & Co.’s The W.O.W Project, 2017 More Art Engaging Artist Fellow, and a 2017-2018 participant in The Laundromat Project’s Create Change fellowship training.
