Maxine Anderson is a Ph.D. candidate in Comparative Literature at the University of Oregon. She received her M.A. in Latin American and Caribbean Studies from the CUNY Graduate Center. Her research interests include 20th-century Caribbean literature, particularly Francophone; surrealism, particularly in the Caribbean; and links between the literature of the Caribbean and that of the American South.
