Maggie Jacobs was appointed Director of Youth Educational Programs for The New York Public Library in January 2013. In this role, Maggie directs youth education services for children and youth, birth through high school-age, throughout the Library and is acting director over the ESOL and TechConnect (adult technology) programs. Maggie designed and supervises major new youth education initiatives, including after-school programs, early literacy, College and Career Pathways and Youth Technology; helps spearhead the training of children and teen branch staff; provides the vision for building out children's and teen spaces; supervises the provision of Library resources and related professional development to New York City schools; and supervises curation of the Library's digital and physical resources for educators.
