Liz Donato is a PhD Candidate in art history at the Graduate Center. Her research focuses on artistic and architectural modernisms in Latin America, with an emphasis cross-disciplinary practices and pedagogy. Her dissertation examines the themes of intimacy and interiority in the experimental pedagogy of the Valparaíso School against the backdrop of modernizing landscapes in postwar South America. Donato was formerly a Graduate Teaching Fellow at the City College of New York, and teaches undergraduate courses in 20th century Latin American art and architecture at City College and Parsons The New School of Design.
