Joshua Scannell

R Joshua Scannell is a PhD candidate in sociology at the CUNY Graduate Center and a researcher at the Data and Society Institute for Research. His work examines the impact of contemporary data analytics technologies on politics of the body and political economy in the context of a transforming carceral state. He is the author of Cities: Unauthorized Resistance and Uncertain Sovereignty.
