Joseph Entin teaches in the English Department and directs the American Studies program at Brooklyn College, CUNY. He also teaches in the Liberal Studies program at the CUNY Graduate Center. He is the author of Sensational Modernism: Experimental Fiction and Photography in Thirties America (2007) and coeditor of Controversies in the Classroom: A Radical Teacher Reader (2008). Currently, he is pursuing two primary research projects: one, on representations of working people in US culture in the second half of the 20th century; and a second, on post-1930s documentary photography.
