Joned Suryatmoko is an artist and writer, whose practices move between theater and performance, questioning the border between the autobiographical and fictional, virtuosity and authenticity. His research interest includes performing citizenship and queer performance in the Global South, leading him to his dissertation topic about citizenship in contemporary Indonesia.
He serves as the Director for Conference on Indonesian Performance and Theater. Currently he is student in the Ph.D. Program in Theatre and Performance, and a Fellow at the Humanities Alliance at the CUNY Graduate Center.
