John Adam Rodriguez lives in Far Rockaway, Queens and attends The Scholars’ Academy High School. The youth are the leaders of tomorrow, and Adam personally believe that it is important to develop a strong voice early on in life. Youth are often told they are too young to have a prominent, opinionated voice, which Adam thinks is detrimental to developing our society for the future. One thing Adam would like to improve is the treatment of waste. Our community should be an extension of ourselves, a reflection of how we treat others. Over the summer, Adam worked at GallopNYC, which provides therapeutic horseback riding to physically and cognitively disabled peoples.
