Jessie Daniels is a Professor at the CUNY School of Public Health at Hunter College and The Graduate Center, CUNY, where she is currently involved in the Advanced Research Collaborative (ARC), promoting interdisciplinary research. She is the author of White Lies (1997) and Cyber Racism (2009), two books about race and various forms of media. Her next book, Google Bombs, Astroturf and cloaked sites, takes a look at propaganda in the digital era. During the coming year, she will be working on a book project tentatively called, "Health and Poverty on Display: From TV to YouTube."
