Javier Riveros is an alumni of CUNY Hunter College's School of Education. For the last 3 years, he has worked as an elementary arts educator at Brooklyn RISE Charter School in Downtown Brooklyn. The exploration of identity and dimensions of self is vital to his practice both as an educator and artist. He leverages his own cultural and ethnic identities to create, to commune and to reach and teach every child who enters his classroom. In the near future, Javier hopes to enter the field of Museum Education where his passion for the arts, education and history will be utilized.
