Hồng-An Trương

Hồng-Ân Trương uses photography, video, and sound to explore immigrant, refugee, and decolonial narratives and subjectivities. Her work has been shown in exhibitions at the International Center for Photography, the Nasher Museum of Art, The Kitchen, Nhà Sàn, the Irish Museum of Modern Art, theRubber Factory, the Phillips Collection, and the Minneapolis Institute of Art. Her work was included in the New Orleans triennial Prospect.4 and her collaborative work with Hương Ngô was exhibited in Being: New Photography 2018 at MoMA. Her writing has appeared in the Brooklyn Rail, Shifter magazine, and most recently in Best! Letters from Asian Americans in the Arts,published by Paper Monument. She was awarded an Art Matters Foundation Grant and a Guggenheim Foundation Fellowship. Hồng-Ân is based in Durham, North Carolina where she is an activist and a Professor of Art at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
