Emilie Rosenblatt

Emilie Rosenblatt holds a BA in African-American Studies and English from Columbia University.  She is a long-time housing organizer, having worked for groups including Community Pride in Harlem and GOLES on the Lower East Side (where she still works in development and communications). She is a poet whose work has appeared in Surgam, Quarto, Proxy, and Fawlt Magazine.  She also is a former Fulbright Fellow to Venezuela, and continues to regularly contribute reporting and analysis on Venezuela to Liberation News. Rosenblatt has studied modern dance, although now is pursuing her literary interests.  She is currently matriculated in the MFA program at the City College of New York, where she also teaches writing as an adjunct instructor.
