Eduardo Zimmermann received a Law Degree from the University of Buenos Aires and a D.Phil in Modern History from the University of Oxford. He has been a Junior Research Fellow at the Institute of Latin American Studies, University of London; a Visiting Fellow at the Kellogg Institute, University of Notre Dame, and a Visiting Professor at the Department of History, Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne. He was awarded the Premio Ensayo Histórico La Nación 120 Aniversario, Buenos Aires, and is a fellow of the Argentine National Academy of History. He is currently Associate Professor at Universidad de San Andrés, Buenos Aires, and Edward Larocque Tinker Visiting Professor at Columbia University. His research focuses on 19th- and 20th -century Latin American history, particularly on state building processes, legal and political history, and the history of political thought in the region.
