Delia Solomons is Assistant Professor of Modern and Contemporary Art at Drexel University. Her research and teaching interests include art’s relationship to exhibition practices, activism, revolution, materiality, and inter-American politics. Her current book project, Cold War in the White Cube: Latin American Art for U.S. Audiences, 1959–1968 (working title), explores the sudden surge in exhibitions of Latin American art across the U.S. in the years directly following the Cuban Revolution. She received her PhD from the Institute of Fine Arts, NYU, in 2015. She co-curated the exhibition Sari Dienes (The Drawing Center, 2014) and has published essays in The Americas Revealed: Collecting Colonial and Modern Latin American Art in the United States (The Frick Collection and Penn State University Press, forthcoming), Journal of Curatorial Studies (2014), and In the Distance (MIT University Press, 2011).
