D. Graham Burnett is a professor of History and the History of Science at Princeton University, where he is affiliated with the Interdisciplinary Doctoral Program in the Humanities (IHUM). He is the author of a number of books, including The Sounding of the Whale and Trying Leviathan, and serves as an editor at Cabinet magazine, based in Brooklyn. He is associated with the research collective ESTAR(SER).
