Carlos iro Burgos is a poet whose work has served as required reading amongst CUNY Puerto Rican Studies and Puerto Rican Culture courses. His poetry collections Spanglibonics (2015) and From Boy to IRO (2012) interrogate identity, love, and fatherhood as well as many other pressing public issues of our time. He is also the founder of New Masculinities, an initiative to deepen understandings of masculinity, and currently serves as a Student Success Advocate at Guttman Community College, CUNY.
