As part of a research project supported by the CUNY Adjunct Incubator, Rutgers, Newark PhD candidate and adjunct professor in Urban Affairs and Planning department at Hunter College, Camille Ferguson will develop, pilot test and refine a curriculum designed to help urban high adolescents to manage and better control the stress in their lives towards the goal of better health and over-all well-being. The curriculum will guide students to identify stressors in their lives, be mindful about how they feel physically, mentally and emotionally when they feel stress, teach them strategies to cope with stress, and introduce them to basic yoga, poses, breathing exercises and principals.
