Benjamin Gillespie is a Ph.D. candidate in theatre at The Graduate Center, CUNY. His articles and reviews have appeared in such journals as Theatre Journal, Theatre Survey, Theatre Research in Canada, and Canadian Theatre Review. He has also contributed articles to a number of anthologies, including the recently published Performing Objects and Theatrical Things (Palgrave 2014). His research explores experimental and queer theatre and performance in the U.S. and Canada, with a particular focus on gender and sexuality, temporality, embodiment, and the aging artist.
