Ana Cristina Perry is a Doctoral Candidate in Art History and Provost University Fellow at the CUNY Graduate Center focusing on Latinx and Latin American Art in the 20th century. Her dissertation examines the artistic and curatorial projects created by Raphael Montañez Ortiz from 1966 through 1972. She was the 2017–2018 Mellon Curatorial Fellow at the Whitney Museum of American Art and a Latino Museum Studies Fellow with the Smithsonian Latino Center in July 2015. Ana has taught throughout the City University of New York including Brooklyn College, Hunter College, and the City College of New York. Her research has been funded through the Center for Advanced Studies in the Visual Arts through the National Gallery of Art, as well as the Center for Latin American, Caribbean, and Latino Studies and the Early Research Initiative at the CUNY Graduate Center.
