Abner Aldarondo is an undergraduate senior at Amherst College double majoring in Spanish and Latinx and Latin American Studies. He is currently working on his honors thesis tentatively titled Imaging and Imagining Environmental Justice: Puerto Rican Visual Culture in the Anthropocene. It concerns itself with the malleability of cultural identity and its entanglement with environmental justice in Puerto Rican artwork from the homeland and the diaspora.
