About the event
Following upon Interventions in the Narrativization of the AIDS Crisis this open conversation is a forum for asking each other questions raised by the previous evening’s event and an opportunity to involve new voices in the emerging discussion. We hope to suggest alternative modes of organizing radical archives related to the recent histories of HIV/AIDS. This conversation also serves as segue to the November 10th event, A Matter of Urgency and Agency: HIV/AIDS Now. Organized by Amy Herzog and Edward D. Miller of the Mediating the Archive Seminar and including Thomas F. DeFrantz, Lesley Farlow, and David Román.
This event is presented as part of Mediating the Archive, an interdisciplinary research group that focuses on how archival studies dovetail with the scholarly and artistic legacy of queer activism through visual art, film, digital media, and dance.
