About the event
In honor of the poet, editor and critic Stanley Burnshaw, join us for a lecture by Rosanna Warren on the important and eccentric French modernist poet, painter and critic Max Jacob. Rosanna Warren has translated Max Jacob's poems and is currently at work on his biography. In the lecture, she will discuss the connection between Jacob's mystical experiences and the new forms he invented for modern poetry in French.
