Blanche Wiesen Cook’s biography of Eleanor Roosevelt is widely acclaimed as the essential portrait of a powerful woman, leader, and visionary in American history. The author joins Carol Jenkins, noted television journalist and writer, for a discussion of the long-awaited third and final volume, covering World War II, FDR’s death, the founding of the UN, and Eleanor Roosevelt’s death in 1962. Cook is a distinguished professor of history at John Jay College and the Graduate Center. Jenkins, an Emmy Award-winning former anchor and correspondent for WNBC-TV, currently hosts the series Black Americaon CUNY-TV.
