How might the method of counter-mapping, which diffuses the distinction between “researcher” and “subject,” help envision a community of shared common space? Join Einat Manoff (Environmental Psychology, The Graduate Center, CUNY) as she shares her critical mapping work with residents of the former town of Miska in Israel-Palestine to engage questions about how facts are represented on maps and in physical space. What are the new tools that are being developed by this work and what are the uses and outcomes of such dialogues?
