Please join us for the opening reception of Capture Practice: Arkadi Zaides, which will be on view until March 19th.
The James Gallery presents internationally-acclaimed choreographer Arkadi Zaides’ first solo exhibition in New York. Zaides and his collaborators explore gestures of everyday life through the use of documentary footage. The artworks focus on the Israeli-Palestine conflict to reveal different discourses of human rights. The exhibition includes the two-channel video installation Capture Practice (2014) made with Effi Weiss & Amir Borenstein; the world-premiere of The Protest (2016) made in collaboration with documentary filmmaker Dana Shalev; and the multidisciplinary artist Daniel Landau’s 360 video Time-Motion Study (2016).
